I have been reading Former President George W. Bush's book that he published just last year (I think) about his life and his time in office as president for 8 years. I am only half way through it so far but I am enjoying it so much that I think you should know and have the opportunity to read it also.
I was young enough and didn't care enough while George W. was in office to follow much of anything that was going on, nor was I or am I currently a politial buff, but I do enjoy reading about history and I think there is a lot of important issues that went on during the 8 years that George W. was the president. Especially important for me as the issues he faced are things we are dealing with now was nation and a world and I am not of an age where these things impact me and affect me.
I find his book so interesting and so raw and so real and I really have found a new respect for our former president. I think there are a lot things that draw me to him, mainly his faith in Jesus Christ, and also that we were both raised in the same state and in a similar way. But beyond that, I have found his telling of how he handled major issues for our country and world such as 9/11 and Stem-cell research to be so telling of his character that I am so proud (and know why now) to call him my former president.
Anyways, the book is called Decision Points and can be found here on Amazon's website. If you find history, presidents, politics or autobiographies interesting, I think this a book worth looking into! If not then you are free to your own opinions and free to not choose to read this book!!!
Have a great day! me!
