Day 5

was spent in Florence

By the time Alison and I landed in Florence, only a short train trip from Pisa, we were so eager to be out and around, since we felt we had been stripped of civilization and large cities, and we were desperate to see  lots of people and places and things to do, since we had spent the last 2 days in Pisa and Cinque Terre (not many things to do in Pisa, and not many people in Cinque Terre). Anyways, the weather was less than stellar in Florence which was a bit on the annoying side, but it didn't stop us from having a good time. We really didn't end up doing all the touristy things they tell you to do and see in books, but we enjoyed ourselves nonetheless, at a pace we wanted.

I think this the Academia building (but after you
take so many pictures you start forgetting...)

The statue of Davide, I snuck a picture, haha.

All I wanted on this trip was a traveling bike

And this was Florence. Beautiful! Definitely would visit this place again. Hopefully when the weather is better and I am not sick. Yea, I got sick while I was in Florence so I spent half the day taking a nap which is why there is still so much we didn't do or see. Regardless, the things we did do and see were worth the trip and worth the memories.

Ciao.
