of snow fell yesterday! that is a record for paris! I was told (but have not confirmed the information to be true) that the last time this much snow fell at one time in Paris was the year of my birth, 1987.
My host father said it was all for me when i quickly told him, i don't think it is for me, i hate the cold. Although it is a pain, i am stuck at home for yet another day (the buses aren't running, which i am thankful for because I would not want to be in one right now), it is quite beautiful outside. The sun finally decided to show its face today so we have light for the first time in what seems like forever and it shining down on all this beautiful freshly fallen snow is just a dream. And the snow has a shimmer to it. It's quite stunning. There is a hill next to where the kids go to school and we have a sled (a plastic one, but its still a sled) so I might head over there once I am fully awake and take advantage of the fresh powder before it becomes nasty mush.
Anyways, today I have lots instore: a movie, drinking a big ol bowl of hot chocolate, and reading some books! Oh, and you can't forget listening to Christmas tunes!!
What a life I live now. I moved from 105 degrees F to 60 degrees F (when I moved here in August) so it being below 0 celcius now and in the 20's in Texas. Holy moly the differences. I am hoping for some warm weather in a few weeks upon my arrival!!!
Love you all to pieces, me
