oh france.

how you warm my heart. OR NOT.

hi, my name is negative nancy (also now known as my alter ego who tends to pop out whenever the french turn into total wuss's).

I have a love/hate relationship with the country of France and its oh-so-lovely people. gr.

Today, snow storm, 3 hours and counting. Not like a little but imagine a rain storm and then put that into snow. yea, a lot of snow. and on the roads and sidewalks where cars and people are it is nasty, dirty slush. ew.

my friends and i go to the bus stop to wait for our bus home. in the snow storm after walking 15 minutes through the nasty slush. ew.

we wait. and wait. and wait. and wait. its cold. i am cold. REALLY cold. still no bus.

then a friend arrives who catches the bus at the gare (the station) and tells us that all the buses stopped running because of the snow. there are no buses running anymore, they all went home.

REALLY???????

(background information, if i were to walk from that bus stop to my house in normal sunny good temperature weather it has taken me TWO hours...in the snow and slush adn with really cold feet...um, there is no telling how long that would take me)

ok, so after spending this whole post being negative. My God came through and provided for me (and my friends). After calling EVERYONE in our phone books who has a car in the near vicinity I am finally able to get a hold of my dear friend who lives 5 mintues away and is willing to come and pick us all up and give us a ride home.

So after waiting in the snow for 1 hour, 1.5 hours after class was let out and a long adventure of dealing with whimpy frenchies who don't like to work in the snow leaving me and my friends stranded...i am back at home and so happy to be getting warm again!!!

C'est tout!

Love, Me
