its the terminus

So tonight I had another "C'est la France" moments. It wasn't so chaotic but it was something I encounter often and only in France have I ever had moments such as this.
I was on my train headed back out to the boonies where I live when 1 stop before my arrett, my stop, the security guy (who rides every train at night) walks past each car and say its the end of the train and we must all get off. Sweeeet!
I was so confused as not only can I barely understand the guy on the loudspeaker because its horrible quality but it also hinders my ability to understand his words as I am not the best at interpreting broken French through a loud speaker yet. Anyways, some man must've noticed the rather confused look on my face and told me that we must take the bus now.
I got lucky and they had this planned out...we all boarded buses that were waiting, we didn't even have to scan a ticket or pass to get on. And voila, 15 minutes later I was at the parking garage to pick up my car.

Now what I don't understand is why the train couldn't continue down the line to one last stop and drop us instead of making us have to do all this hoop jumping and randomness so late at night!?! I will never understand some things about France, or should I say most?

And lastly, I decided to cave in last week and buy a jar of peanut butter. It is not Peter Pan, they only sell Skippy, but its still good. It's the small container, the one you buy when you're on holiday at the beach and need some peanut butter to last you just a few days. And its costs a lot. Well, in my opinion. I had yet to purchase any peanut butter since I'd moved here but last week I broke down. Since then I have eaten 2 pb&j's and immensely enjoyed every bite and created a habit of dipping my finger into the jar and eating it like that. Forget the spoon. It's almost gone. Lasted about a week. Who knew one could love peanut butter so much? I have been told that I'm crazy for liking peanut butter and that Nutella is better but I have to disagree. I may love France but I love peanut butter more than nutella, enough said!
So tonight while enjoying my pb&j on the train into Paris I thought to myself, what poor French kids that they are missing out on one of the most amazing inventions ever.... they might never experience the awesomeness that is a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. And for that, my heart truly breaks! :-(

Good night!

I have that same small jar of Skippy in my fridge. It's so expensive, but worth it! :-)
