uninspired

I have been uninspired to write anything about my life or Paris lately but I guess there have been so many changes, I just don't see them as a "big deal" anymore like I would have about 4 months ago.

So here's a quick update:

-the weather is finally BEAUTIFUL around here. The sun is out and producing heat. I am wearing a dress with not tights tonight, woo hoo! Although I am still wearing boots. I am sleeping with the windows open again. Yesterday my host mom told me she was going to pick up the kids from school so I had nothing to do after my French class until the rest of the evening. I invited a friend to meet me in my town where I take French classes where there is a beautiful park, chateau and view of Paris and we walked around the park for several hours. We also sat outside and had a drink afterwards.

-I found out yesterday that the potential to work for my new family past the summer is now out of the picture. The lady called me yesterday to tell me she had taken a full-time job after the summer and would need full-time help and that means she needed to find someone who would do the work. She actually offered to introduce to me to a friend she knows who is looking for an au-pair right now which is very generous. I am not worried about the future but I always like knowing as opposed to not knowing. But God hasn't let me down yet so I don't foresee it happening anytime soon. :-)

-The tickets have been booked for my summer with my new family. I move July 2nd and leave July 4 for Romania. I am very excited about my summer doing new and adventurous things.

-Tonight I am going to my first theatre production in a long time. My friend and I are going to see Mama Mia in Paris tonight. I am so.excited! And I am desperately trying to figure out what to wear but with this new weather and it being Paris, not Texas, I have no clue how to dress!!! (and I've lost just enough weight that my old clothes don't fit so well. should be a good problem but right now I just want something to wear!)

-My parents arrive FRIDAY MORNING! I know its only for three days, but I am soooo excited to see them!!! I am so excited to show them the city that I am in love with, yes, in love! Oh the memories that will be made.

-MONDAY is my birthday!!! My third birthday to be spent here in Paris. My first one was actually on the way to the airport, in the airport and then on the airplane back to Texas. The 2nd one was by accident and I was in Paris with another family, also the day I met the family I am living with now and my first time to go to the church I attend now. And this time, I LIVE HERE. I feel so blessed.

Anyways, thats my life in a nutshell!!! I am so excited for this weather, it means picnics and parks and bike riding and all my favorite things that I love about Paris. Oh.my.gosh, I am falling in love all over again just thinking about the things to be done in the coming weeks!

Oh, and lastly, for my birthday, a few friends and I are meeting up for dinner and we're going to experience the best burgers in Paris! I haven't had a burger in who knows how long (this was rare before I moved here) and I am so excited!!!
